Prior to Mazatlán’s hosting Tianguis this year, I must admit I had never attended an event at the Mazatlán International Center. (When I first moved to Mazatlán 20 years ago, El Cid had the largest convention center in Mazatlán.) This state of the art venue first opened its doors in 2009.
Mazatlán and Sinaloa should be proud of the Mazatlán International Center. Tianguis showcased this facility to the tourism industry and it delivered in every way. I’ve attended several Tianguis in Acapulco, but after experiencing this facility and the outstanding performance of the staff, the Mazatlán Hotel Association, Sinaloa Tourism and the state government, this one stands out for me as the best ever. I’m confident Tianguis will return to Mazatlán, which this city richly deserves.
Here are some reasons you should plan your next event here:
- Tianguis. If this facility and staff can perform as admirably as they did for an event the size and scope of Tianguis, I’m certain they can handle whatever private or public event comes their way.
- Location, location, location. The Mazatlán International Center is located in the accessible and convenient Nuevo Mazatlán tourist area.
- Space is the place. The Mazatlán International Center provides 28 meeting rooms on double levels, seven business centers and 10 acres of gardens and green space for outdoor functions and breaks.
- Banquets, food and beverage. The Mazatlán International Center offers a variety of dining options and can accommodate and serve four-course dinners for up to 3,500 people in less than an hour.
- Well-trained staff. When a staff is well-trained, it shows. The staff members here are both friendly and efficient, demonstrating a clear passion for doing their best for the clients.
